SteveHow Posted February 24, 2017 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Hi, I have a DT 175 (Year around 2000) that I want to clean the carby because its running rough. How does one remove the 2 stroke oil line connected to the carb, so one can dismantle on the bench? It seems to be connected with a non-removable clamp around the actual oil line. Moderator Cynic Posted February 24, 2017 Moderator Share Posted February 24, 2017 Slide back the small metal collar and pull. The collar may well be long gone so just go with pull. Use a pair of pliers but dont hang on it. The pipe can go hard and can make it tight on the spigot that can pull out. nayruf Posted February 24, 2017 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Hi If the pipe has gone hard with age, you could pour hot water on it to soften it, the brass oil pipe nipple/spigot on my DT carb was so tight in the pipe that it pulled out of the carb casting and it needed fettling to get it to fix back in to the carb casting. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
