I'm looking at the new mt09 at the local yamaha dealership after narrowing down my search from a few options.

I have no experience buying a brand new bike and wondered if there is a deal to be had on them? Any wiggle room or do they stick tightly to the rrp?

I will be buying it outright so won't be needing any of there 0% finance deals.

Thanks in advance

Hi, in the past I have asked for various things to be given or gifted to me on the purchase of a bike, I have had an abus wheel lock, winter and summer gloves, discount on boots, clothing and future servicing,

So though discount may not be always available in the price of the bike as far as I am concerned any bike gear equipment that they sell is not off limits, they may say no but they may want to keep another customer

Hi there"  thatl be Slatire ? ,  price Duffus in Kirkaldy,  play one against the other,  esp if its a casher ,:welcome:

:wavey: welcome to the YOC!

Thanks everyone. It is saltire that I'm looking in as that's where I'm currently doing my das training.

I am however after quite a few extras so will see what I can get.

Don't ask don't get ;)

Little update,

I passed my mod 2 last Wednesday with only 2 minors and I'm chuffed to bits!

Went to speak about a deal on the new mt09 and after a test ride on one I bought it.

I got the bike in dark fluro, fly screen, akrapovic, 3 years free servicing, 3 years warranty, and 3 years free break down oh and a free yamaha fluro t-shirt!

All in all cost me just under £9k

Shame there is a 8 week wait for my delivery but can't wait!

Very nice bike and the wheels will show the dirt up well, always look on the bright side John, don't think I could wait 8 weeks though but at least you'll get it in time for Summer
