So I'm looking at replacing my headlight for a matt black after market one and really like the look for the grilled ones, can anyone shed any light ( sorry couldn't resist) on its legality for use on uk roads

Not legal, only clear or yellow headlight covers are legal in the UK (rightfully so). The only way you could get your bike legal with that cover is if it had a daytime MOT meaning you couldn't use it at night

The only time this will ever become legal is if the Luftwaffe come back

I am probably wrong.

I thought the wire mesh stone guards were ok in the UK, I recall seeing some new Triumph street scramblers with them fitted, they are such a fine mesh that they dont block out much light,

Your right STONE guards are ok but they must not occlude more than 10% of the available light.

Says no e marking, but I've gone or a normal black bowl h4 light now,

What about rear tail/stop lights, can they be grilled
