Wow so after a couple of days of no issues I have yet another one with my Xv125 , 

When riding I turn the headlights on and it's faint, like almost candlelight and doesn't light up the road at all, but high beam works well, both indicators work fine, 

Is this just the bulb blown as I believe it's duel filiment , or something else ,  

Yes, you have blown the dip element. New bulb, job done.
