Hi all. New two Jap Bikes with TD175 1975 USA Import. A joy to work on until came to get Engine out. Removed 3 Bolts as per instruction, however Engine just rattles around each Location Lug area and will not come out. No visible damage to Frame. Engine will just not come out, I have tried to lever it out but could do with a bit of step by step advice. Cheers.  

would it help if you removed the cylinder head so that the rest can be lifted higher?

Hi Airhead. Yep done that, the remaining Engine just wont come free from the location Lugs. 

ya gotta take off the chain and exhaust

lift the front out and hold it up, then pull it all forward to clear the back mounting easy as pie

 

 

the above is just a thought Mark, I don't know why you're finding it so difficult!

 

 

 

Airhead I have already tried all of this. Best thing I can do I think is to take some pictures for a better understanding and add to this thread. Cheers Mark

While taking some pictures I suddenly realised that the Bar holding the Footrests was not actually part of the Frame, and as soon as I unfastened the fixing Screws and pushed the Bar forward the Engine lifted out sweet as a nut.

Like they say you live and learn.
