Grouch
I had to bin my pinlock insert the other other day. My first one was clear and it was spot on. My second was a tinted one because it was a lot cheaper to buy an insert than an actual tinted visor. Not that it would be a very sensible thing to use now the weather is turning into winter and darkness is upon us. I'm just unsure whether to get a clear one or a yellow one. I fancy getting a yellow one but to be honest I'm not even sure what they are used for? I'm under the impression they are anti glare or something, so will be safe to use in the dark? Does anyone else use one?
Moderator drewpy Posted October 11, 2016 Moderator Share Posted October 11, 2016 The yellow tint filters out blue light, giving you sharper vision in misty, rainy or dull conditions.
Moderator Cynic Posted October 12, 2016 Moderator Share Posted October 12, 2016 Im considering a second pair of glasses tinted like that for night driving. Car headlights are getting way too bright for my liking.
Grouch
Thats settled then. I'm getting a yellow one. They sound ideal for the rainy winter weather thats beginning.

KevtheRev
I've used the yellow one for years , makes a dreary winter morn look like afternoon in the Bahamas lol ! Keep it in good nick and bin it if it get's scratched up .
Grouch
I'm really happy with it. It's perfect for the bright sun and dark nights. It just strained my eyes a little bit at first.
KevtheRev
Careful with it at night , any tint will restrict your view at night .
Grouch
Yeah it can be problematic on dim roads but usually I have it open on a night unless it's raining.
