Posted September 30, 20168 yr Hello Yamaha DT175 friends. Can the small silencer on my 1982MX be dismantled and more sound muffling put inside? At the age of 74 and living in a quiet area it would be nice to reduce the sharp crackle. Any suggestions please. CRJ
September 30, 20168 yr Moderator  after market silencers can be re-packed,, the photo you posted is only a thumbnail so cant make anything out!
October 4, 20168 yr I know this sounds weird but try putting a metal scourer in your exhaust. Worked on my old Aprilia
