Simon46 Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 As above all fine before now wont shift into neutral when I topped it up. Neutral ok when stopped Beware!
Moderator Airhead Posted September 4, 2016 Moderator Posted September 4, 2016 put it into neutral before coming to a sop then Simon...rather than waste the oil? 1
Moderator Cynic Posted September 4, 2016 Moderator Posted September 4, 2016 Really! Obviously its the own brand 80/90 heavy duty gear oil? Or could be their fully synth car 10/30 oil? Without the detail this thread is pointless. 2
Simon46 Posted September 4, 2016 Author Posted September 4, 2016 Ok gone to find the bottle. Original is castrol power 1 10w-40 4t. Halfords is 10w/40 4 stroke motorcycle part synth engine oil. Neutral was fine 7 days ago. Clutch drag now I expect.
blackhat250 Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Sounds like the correct oil, is it different when warmed up. ? And I always tap into neutral on way down to a stop,
Simon46 Posted September 4, 2016 Author Posted September 4, 2016 Cant even tap it down. Have to stay in first at lights.
Moderator Cynic Posted September 4, 2016 Moderator Posted September 4, 2016 So you cannot get down into first?

Simon46 Posted September 5, 2016 Author Posted September 5, 2016 Well drained it put the castrol power1 oil back in all is well after 10 miles. I didnt think it would be that fussy!
