Posted September 4, 20169 yr As above all fine before now wont shift into neutral when I topped it up. Neutral ok when stopped Beware!
September 4, 20169 yr Moderator put it into neutral before coming to a sop then Simon...rather than waste the oil?
September 4, 20169 yr Moderator Really! Obviously its the own brand 80/90 heavy duty gear oil? Or could be their fully synth car 10/30 oil? Without the detail this thread is pointless.
September 4, 20169 yr Author Ok gone to find the bottle. Original is castrol power 1 10w-40 4t. Halfords is 10w/40 4 stroke motorcycle part synth engine oil. Neutral was fine 7 days ago. Clutch drag now I expect.
September 4, 20169 yr Sounds like the correct oil, is it different when warmed up. ? And I always tap into neutral on way down to a stop,

September 5, 20169 yr Author Well drained it put the castrol power1 oil back in all is well after 10 miles. I didnt think it would be that fussy!
