Posted August 16, 20168 yr Hi guys. New to the forum and two strokes. Bought my uncles 94 DT that's been sat in his garage for 15 years, it's in fantastic condition on the outside but mechanically it's a bit of an unknown. It was running perfect when garaged in 2001ish. Just wondering if you could give me a few pointers to look out for on them as I've never dealt with 2 strokes. Best oils? What goes wrong? Etc Also how would I go about de-restricting it? Sorry for all the questions! Any help would be massively appreciated. Jonathan

August 20, 20168 yr Author Cheers for the welcome folks. got the bike running briefly but it died when the revs went under 5k having trouble finding a new carb, would a sufficient clean be good enough?
August 20, 20168 yr Moderator Greetings Jonathan yeah clean the carb and look out for a blocked pilot jet, prod it out with a bristle from a brush or something,
