Keith H
Hi, after 18 years in my garage I've decided to sell my beautiful bike. Starts every time and brake and indicator lights work. New battery installed but can't get the side and head lights to work. I believe they are supposed to work when the engine is running? The dash blue light (high beam indicator) not working so clerarly an issue which is beyond my knowledge. Could it be the regulator or coil? Checked all cables for cracks etc. Any help appreciated. Thanks Keith
Moderator Airhead Posted August 14, 2016 Moderator Share Posted August 14, 2016 do you have to turn the key to position 2 to gat the light working, as you do for it's predecessor the DTMX ?

Keith H
No to tail light. Tail break light works when brake pressed though. I'm really thinking this is a regulator/rectifier issue. Cant think what else it could be?
Moderator Cynic Posted August 15, 2016 Moderator Share Posted August 15, 2016 Is the battery ok. If the regulators gone it will be fizzing like mad. Otherwise the rectifier would be possible but i think the first job is checking the bulbs then cleaning the light switch.
Keith H
Batt is new, everything clean. Think I'll look for new or used rectifie. Thanks for help.
