Posted August 1, 20169 yr My 2012 xmax sport 125 needs a full service , I'm at 10,000 on the clock. I have been told by local bike company that a full service is £100 but for that all he does is oil & all other fluids, air filter, brake check & pegs etc greasing. I don't know much about scooters but this cant be a full service can it ? If it's just a case of doing the above could I not just do it myself ? never worked on scooter or bike before. can I do this myself ?
August 1, 20169 yr The first (and second) thing you'll want to do is get and read the service manual.
August 2, 20169 yr Yep as above MANUAL will save you thousands in wasted money, most bike and scoots are easy(ish) to work on but it's a steep learning curve if you have no experience with them. As to your original question about a service, from your list that about covers it I'm afraid, same as anything else it's the basic stuff that keeps it running. That by the way is a pretty good price as they normally charge about £45 to £50 per hour.
