Posted March 27, 20168 yr Just finished making this for her first birthday, it's not until August but wanted to make use of the crap winter weather.. Although the design is mostly mine, I did pinch the idea from a Canadian web site and used his method of putting it togerther but of course I had to make it as a v twin. It's made from 3 sheets of 2' X 4' plywood cut out with a router and then glued/pinned/screwed/dowelled together, the forks are made out of a bit of scrap 2" X 4".that I shaped with my router and a home made jig and the headlight is made from a wood furniture foot bought from the bay of fleas. I must say that I am quite pleased with it and hope that she will enjoy playing on it.
March 27, 20168 yr Looks like a Virago Dont let Noise see it Great job though, love it. Why not try selling a couple, see how it goes, supplement the pension

Don't think Noise will complain after all it is for a little girl ( anyway I still think the little 535 that I had was fun to ride) Not sure the quality is good enough to sell and it was really a one off special for little Alice 23 hours ago, bippo said: That looks great! I'm very jealous... My youngest who's 27 this year is also jealous and wants to keep it.

That's true slice but its been too cold and wet to go out on the bike much but hopefully that will change soon. Most of my friends and family think that when I go out riding for pure pleasure, I can just imagine what they will be saying when my birthday present to myself arrives next month.
March 29, 20168 yr Author Well slice its a bit of a long story but I'll give you the condensed version. For the last year or so I have been driving the rag top escort that I gave Mrs meat as a Christmas present in 2000. She really loved that car (nearly as much as me) and the only reason that I kept it after I lost her in 2013 was because it reminded me of so many good times that we had together. To be honest it needed replacing years ago but Mrs meat wasn't having any of that but now I've decided that its got to go as it needs to much work to keep it on the road and I'll always have those good memories with or without her car.  So my birthday present to myself is a new rag top. I'll never give up the bike but now all that time on my hands is going to used up by riding and driving.
March 29, 20168 yr So either way your going to have the wind In your hair mate, good for you, bung up a photo of what you decide to get, I bought the wife an OPEL Tigra more cos it had a fold down tin top and the fact that she had decided the moment she saw it she was having it or I was eating with the dog! Been thinking of visiting a mate down in Woking this year so if your up for it I'll buy you a coffee.
