.when I put my bike into 1st it starts moving forward, even with my clutch fully held in I'm having to hold the brakes to stop going, n its murder getting it back into neutral. Is this something I can fix myself? Or would I be best taking it back to a mechanic?

Sounds like you need to adjust the clutch cable

Oil on what? Or do you mean in the engine?

Try draining some oil out,I had the same prob,I syphoned oil from filler drip drip it took hours to get 1litre out.but I was using fish air tube.s b

Get the excess oil out first

Bike has to be vertical upright to check the level in the sight glass

Send me a PM and ill reply with the setting procedure for the clutch from the XVS125 manual
