Posted January 21, 20169 yr Hi does anyone know what a ' Headlight Relay/Starting cut off relay is on an xs 400 is ?' Is this required on an xs 250 ?? as I cannot seem to find one as I am installing a wiring harness with not able to find much information ??

Is this required on an xs 250 ?? as I cannot seem to find one as I am installing a wiring harness with not able to find much information ?? they are fitted to US spec bikes. all it does is have the headlamp on when the engine starts. the relay is only energised by a 4th white wire from the stator (it supplies 12v when spinning fast enough) this then connects 12v to the headlamp from the battery
