..for petcock to tank seal on 1980s XJ series (550/650 etc). Anyone know ?

Quicker/easier (and cheaper) than buying an oEM I would hope. Viton better than Nitrile ?

Thanks.Fair price for the kit -  but plenty for a 50p o-ring..

Try 18 quid for the tank o ring on my TDR, comes as part of the "complete tank assembly" now discontinued. Had to find out size and material which is a quirky one as it has to be oil AND petrol resistant, most are 1 or the other. Had to buy a tenner's worth to get minimum order and then vat and del on top.

 

And no before you say it, it isn't listed on the parts list, its in my parts book but the number has been deleted, unfortunately, not superseded or updated, even fowlers drew a blank. It seals the oil tank outlet.

If I can find the right size I'll sen you one free! e.g a pack of 10 viton o-ring 1.5 mm c/s x 40mm Id is about a fiver - just need to know the size a bit more precisely - but that is indeed the rub.
