me clutch plates broke

upto the plates breakin the egine was spot on no knocke rattles etc

so i dropped the sump etc cleaned all broken bits out

the camchain tensioner seems to be working ok

put it back together now it got a knock and a whurrin noise like a chain snaggin

rite i dropped the engine out when i was examining cams etc when i dismantled the cam chain it was very worn

while the engine was out i rechecked bottom end to make sure no other bits floating about

rite my question is can an over stretched cam chain slip a couple of teeth to cause a knock and whurrin noise like a chain catchin

just wondered if anyone else expiernced this with an r1

any advice regarding this prob will be much appreciated

thanks
