bias Posted May 6, 2006 Share Posted May 6, 2006 rite the story hehe me clutch plates broke upto the plates breakin the egine was spot on no knocke rattles etc so i dropped the sump etc cleaned all broken bits out the camchain tensioner seems to be working ok put it back together now it got a knock and a whurrin noise like a chain snaggin rite i dropped the engine out when i was examining cams etc when i dismantled the cam chain it was very worn while the engine was out i rechecked bottom end to make sure no other bits floating about rite my question is can an over stretched cam chain slip a couple of teeth to cause a knock and whurrin noise like a chain catchin just wondered if anyone else expiernced this with an r1 any advice regarding this prob will be much appreciated thanks si Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
