Hi All

I'm just about after completing a full resto of my Dads Yamaha yl 100 twin . When I went to fire it up

only one of the plugs was sparking, I've swapped plugs leads and the coils that are underneath the tank

but the problem is down at the generator/points etc . I swapped the small condenser and the points around down below

but there's still no spark . After doing all this trouble shooting I noticed a wire like lead in behind the points plate that's attached to

a spring like part in behind the plate and it's not attached to anything ? I'm guessing this could be the problem but I have no experience

on this matter and would welcome any advice . I removed all the straight head screws from around the housing but the full plate wont come off !

Best Regards,

Ian
