Robbo1811
Colin from sunny north ayrshire in Scotland, got a 1998 thundercat, having a few proplems with it, with the revs hanging. It had lay about for 8 year before I got it, oil filter got changed and it was riding ok until it started cutting out when pulling up to stop junctions or lights, the rpm was round about the 500/600rpm, so thought about turning them up, and then it started hanging at the 2000rpm before it came back down after 30 sec. i cleaned out the carb and that, oiled the throttle cables and even disconnected the return cable so the spring back is ok, trying to adjust the pilot screws because I heard on another forum, but it be anything else or is anybody managed to get this problem fixed. blackhat250
Hi rob " is it choke cable ? that would make it cut out when warm, if its not seating, even on 1 carb,,,
Tommy xs
Hi Rob welcome to YOC, maybe try a new air filter also check for air leaks on carb inlet rubbers, petrol vacume pipe hasn't perrished. A new set of plugs wouldn't go a miss either.
