Hi everyone. I just picked up a 1980 SR250 yesterday. She's a real beaut and I'm very excited. It's my first motorcycle. I rode dirt bikes as a kid getting all Xtreme and whatnot, but now that I'm grown and live in the city it's time for a new hobby. I know little about motorcycles, but I'm pretty handy ands I'm eager to learn, which is why I got this bike. They seem relatively simple as far as street bikes go. The bike runs great now, and is in pretty good cosmetic condition. My plan is to ride til it gets too cold, and then spend the winter disassembling, cleaning and doing some mods. All with the intention of finishing for spring. We'll see haha

As I get into the phase of wrenching on her I'm sure I'll be in the bar section asking some technical questions. In the meantime, anyone have a good lead on a service manual? I've found a couple on ebay, but don't really feel confident about their... uhh... realness?

Looking forward to learning and having fun!

BTW I've already removed the sissy bar, highway bar (or whatever the thing is at the front of the engine), and will be swapping the bars soon. If anyone is interested they're for sale.url]

Trying to upload some pics of it, but having a hard time figuring that out. Pics are too large to upload directly, and "insert other media" doesn't seem to work. Any tips?
