glfn25
Morning I recently purchased a Yamaha XC 125 TR Cygnus 2010 and noticed in the manual which came with it that it recommend that I use yamalube. I decided to have a look on-line and noticed that they offered both a fully and semi synthetic oil and I am not sure which one I should go for. I was wondering if anyone would be be able to help me RegardsGlen Roberts
slice
Hi Glen, 10/40 semi synthetic. Don't buy the cheapest stuff good oil really does make a difference. You don't have to buy Yamalube either any good named oil will fit the bill.
glfn25
Thank you for the responseLooking at halfords, would this oil below be compatible with the bike? Not sure what the 1-4T means http://www.halfords.com/motoring/motorcycling/motorcycle-oils/castrol-power-1-4t-10w-40-motorcycle-engine-oil-1ltr
slice
1-4T means it's for a four stroke engine, Castrol is a good oil. look up oilman on here, he works for OPIE oils and usually does a good deal on price and delivery. Just make sure you ALWAYS buy motorcycle oil never buy or use car oil as the additives in it will f**k you clutch plates up.
