Taterhawk
Hello to all, I am a long time lover of the Yamaha motorcycles. I started in High school where I bought my first Enduro 175 to the tune of $36.00 per month. My first loan from a savings and loan bank. I then graduated up to a 1989 Honda shadow 1100. Then got me a wife and had kids, sold the bike to make room for my first born. Fast forward 15 years later I start out with a brand new Vstar 1100. Man I loved that bike, I put those little crappy tyamusuki cheap hard bags on it. I removed the seat and cut out the foam and placed gel padding in there and recovered it with ostrich simulated gray vinyl. (Boy I thought i was somethin, haha). Anyway I started riding with a small group of Harley Davidson riders and ended up trading it for a HD heritage softail, while owning the HD softail, I was run over by a truck at a stop sign and lost my left leg from the knee down (that's a whole nother story). I then traded it for my current HD Ultra Classic CVO screamin eagle, but i still had dreams about my Vstar 1100. I just could not shake it. So I test road Vstar 1300 (no good, did not fit right). I then test road a Road Star 1700 OMG. rides as soft and supple as creamy peanut butter! I now feel complete. I find myself drawn to the Roadie, even when my Harley friends call to ride. Don't get me wrong I love the HD and it is a great bike but i seem to put less miles on it since the wifey dont likey to ride with me. (Complains that it hurts her knees, she is too cramped, too cold, yadda yadda,) So anyway, I find I love to ride and work on the Yammy. Sorry or the lengthy intro, just happy to be here,
