hi guys  just trying to work out my vin on my 1990 yz250 but the only numbers i can find are not long enough.The number on the neck of the bike is 3SP-001652 but there is nothing else vin related, so i cant find anything about the bike. Does anyone know what it means or how to find out the history of this bike?

Vin's were a bit hit and miss in 1990 they were just starting to come on stream for mx stuff.

A lot of the time mx bikes change as soon as there bought. You can get parts using the 3sp model code, that is a 1990 yz 250 but the number doesn't tell you much.

Yamaha can give you more info. That number should mean more to the dealer.
