Hi everyone, never had a DT before but still love 2 strokes after finding my way back,

So, as it says really, I'd like to fit a pod type filter and maybe lift the needle a notch, or am I wasting my time? I have the air box but no filter in at the 'mo ! ( just bought it ). Thanks, Dave

You should say hi in the new members area. You will get more replies that way.

As for the filter. Waste of time unless you like noise. Not forgetting the airbox holds the battery and is part of the rear mudguard.

Words of wisdom above . I made that mistake , junked the airbox/battery holder .  I had to have a holder made up , and then the bike seized through running lean .

Glad I didn't try junking the airbox, I would have noticed the battery swinging in the breeze, wouldn't I ? Thanks, I'm off to the new members section ! Dave
