What voltage should I expect to go back to my battery? Put a new one in and after hooking it up it worked ok. But when I went to go for a ride the red and black wires to the battery melted. I ran a multi meter on the red wire to the battery and on idle it showed around 5v when i gave it some revs it went up to 11v. Not worked on 6v bikes before so not sure what to expect. Wondering if i just had a defective battery or I cooked it with the bikes current reg/rectifier.
