I have just bought a 2008 model, it has a couple of issues but I bought it as a fixer upper.

Firstly the speedo doesn't work at all, the guy I bought it off said it works when it feels like it, are there any fixes out there I can try? I've done a lot of googling and many people found issues resolved with the sensors as mine isn't even turning on I don't think that's my problem.

The other issue it came with, the bike wouldn't tick over, I suspected care issues, today I had a fettle, adjusted the idle screw and throttle cable and managed to get it ticking over however it's temperamental as sometimes it will cut out, other times it revs high when idling, I'm learning this as I go and any advice would be gratefully received
