Hi guys just checked the valve clearances on my XJ600.

# 1,2,3. Inlet are 0.09 to 0.10.mm

#3 Exhaust is 0.30mm.

I need two 2.60mm

1x 2.70mm

1x 2.75mm

The Shims are 25mm wide.

Tried eBay but no joy.

Dose anybody know a good site where I could get the shims.

Have you tried Wemoto?

Looks like yambits have a 2.75 one but not the other two. Perhaps give them a call to see if they can get them. If not try a Yamaha dealer like Fowlers of Bristol.

yamaha have all of them, fowlers have an online ordering system now which is dead easy to use

I've had bikes that needed shims which were no longer available and impossible to find in the right sizes. There is a company based out of australia that will custom make shims of any size and thickness. I think theyre called Precision Shim. The price wasnt all that bad considering I didnt have much of a choice. I think I paid $70 shipped for 4 shims. Not too bad considering what shipping was.
