Posted February 26, 20159 yr Ok I've changed the battery on Yamaha ybr 125 n it still won't run I've checked spark plugs but noticed a red wire coming from ignition towards battery not sure where it goes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
February 26, 20159 yr Im taking a guess that the red wire hanging by the negative battery terminal should be connected to the positive terminal on the battery, but it looks like its been ripped/pulled off and may not now be long enough. Was the bike running before you swapped batteries?
February 26, 20159 yr Author It's not been started for 5 months was runnin prior to that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
February 26, 20159 yr Moderator none of those wires are standard and looks like they've bypassed the fuse box! you need a multimeter and check what's live, and if there are any continuity on the bare wires
February 26, 20159 yr Moderator so it has not been used for many months. What battery maintenance was done during this time...is there any life left in the battery? what voltage is it showing?
February 26, 20159 yr Moderator so what works then? any lights.. horn..indicators..dash lights..brake lights.. what?
February 26, 20159 yr Moderator you said you checked the spark plugs...for what? sparks? how...is there a kick lever?
February 26, 20159 yr Author Yes kick start n took spark plugs n put back in ht lead n put other end onto the side of the head n then kicked it over Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
February 26, 20159 yr Ok " so its fuel then ,,,whats the carb like,,,and is there fresh fuel in tank,
February 26, 20159 yr Moderator tip a teaspoon or so of petrol into the cylinder, try again with choke on and only a little throttle opening, its encouraging that you have a good spark
