February 2, 201510 yr No Foams, at first they were something like X4 then X8 then X16 and so on up till you now have X52, before that the machines/CD ROM drives could not read the data fast enough to warrant any faster speeds, same with dial up speeds as well, you could buy a lowly 8 bit then it moved on to faster and faster (relative) speeds until the arrival of broadband which again was nothing near what we get now.
