Posted January 30, 201510 yr Hello all I'm hoping someone can help me I am trying to identify what size the piston I have pulled out of the DT I am restoring is so I can purchase a new one. The only markings I can see are 6-34 & 96 7. Here is picture of old piston, as you can see it has small grove on outer edge and I don't want to re-use. Please help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
January 30, 201510 yr Moderator I cant see anything only a direction arrow! That the best you can do?
January 31, 201510 yr Author There is 6-34 just under arrow then 96 7 is stamped about an inch under that, very hard to see on picture. I am just trying to identify whether standard or no, however, I have order a bore measuring tool off eBay so I can see if piston has been bored. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
January 31, 201510 yr Moderator if you don't get an answer mick try measuring the piston with a vernier, be sure to do that at the skirt not the top
February 22, 201510 yr Hi Afool " missed this, Standard is 634.[ 70mm] Look at F,A.Q"s to see how to post pictures, If they"ve been bored, they only have an arrow at front & 25/50/75- or 1.00 at the rear of piston crown, [ that's on N.O.S. pistons,] aftermarket may be different,,
