KevtheRev
Always check for play in the swingarm when buying a bike , by the looks of that one it could've played for United !! Easiest way is to put the bike on it's sidestand , then lean it over onto the stand a little more to take the weight off the rear wheel , then rock it on the stand . ANY undamped movement in the suspension is play and means that something is not right .
tommosan
New/Secondhand shock fitted today, (£100 ebay) with correct High Tensile bolts, can now sit on bike and touch ground with both feet, (result) Can not road test yet as not Taxed or Insured, don't really want to do that until weather warms up, but shock seems to work fine I would just like to thank everyone for their help, It really helps to hear what others think. gari189
I know its a bit late now but if the secondhand shock doesn't do the job, according to the diversion club forum the shock from an XJ6 also fits the 600 divvie. Highly recommend joining the forum - their knowledge and experience of diversions is huge http://diversionclub.proboards.com/
