Cheers Drewps, this does sound interesting. I've bookmarked it to look into it in more detail especially the one where you can fit a drain hose.

looks like something else to leak, never stripped a sump plug there always well lubricated are't they. Drew you must spend hours just trying to find something to buy

how many sump plugs have you ever stripped ? :razz:

but its a lot easier to drain off the oil than trying to reuse/buy the sealing washer

Can just imagine coming back to the bike in the car park with a big puddle of oil underneath where some toe rag has come along and drained it just for fun.

Mine is copper. Just re-aneal it. 2mins with a blowtorch.

That just looks like bolt on trouble.
