meatloaf
Drewps once again thanks for the heads up,recorder set. In my youth that man was a living legend and an inspiration for many. He was such a character and it was such a shame he went so young.
muddyfox
Thanks for the heads up. I'm old enough and fortunet enough to have seen Mr Sheene riding. Last time was supposedly a few parade laps at the 1996 50th anniversary of the Cock of the North at Olivers Mount Scarborough. It was also Hondas 50th anniversary and then only way they could a No. 1 plate on their world superbike was to poach Carl Fogarty. He was also supposed to be doing parade laps. Needless to say they both "forgot" this a gradually got faster and faster. Foggy on a rc45 and sheenie on his Suzuki. Both then spent an age with the crowds in pit lane. Most miserable person there ? Agostini. Came in by helicopter. Did 3 parade laps on his MV Agusta and promptly left.
