naomi Posted November 23, 2014 Share Posted November 23, 2014 hi all, just bought my first big bike, bought as a project til i pass my test. having problems starting her up, shes turning over but not firing, so thinking no spark, can any one give me some pointers to check please. also noticed this wire stareing at me, but cant see where it bolts too seems to go from here, where it says 32. and yes i know the brake pedal is bent Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

neversaydie Posted November 23, 2014 Share Posted November 23, 2014 Need to confirm plugs are sparking Pull lead off one plug, unscrew the plug from the engine, reconnect the lead to the plug, rest the plug on the engine casing sp that it wont fall off and the plug metal is in contact with the engine metal, try to start and look for spark at the plug tip (its easier if someone is holding the plug in contact) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
iandouglas Posted November 24, 2014 Share Posted November 24, 2014 the problem of non starting can be the kill switch, about wire terminal, i'll check mine...... sits right below, just immediately under the battery it's an earth i think. see the two grey wires touching the bottom of the battery in your first picture well, that's where your terminal goes, bolts to lower part of the battery tray Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Colcol Posted May 27, 2015 Share Posted May 27, 2015 Naomi, that wire is an earth to the frame, I just removed mine.
