Posted November 11, 201410 yr hello, i bought a ty250 that had its Needle Valve assembly destroyed by bad gas, i have searched high and low for the part and cannot find it. I would buy a new carb for it but i dont have $200+ to spend on a new carb for that year. So i was wondering will a 76/81 dt175 carb work on it? or any other cheaper carb?
November 11, 201410 yr The float valves are same in most Mikuni carbs ,, I swapped a N,O,S ts Suzuki valve into the DTcarb,, both carbs were Mikuni v28"s..

November 15, 201410 yr Author no idea what version this TK carb is, from what i'v gathered it was unique to the 74/75 ty250.
November 17, 201410 yr Author From the look of it it's going to sit too high. I may be mistaken as the needle i had was corroded pretty bad, but the nut itself doesn't look like it would sport a very long needle.
