Kirito Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 New to the site, so I wanted to stop in, say hello to everyone. So with that, hello to everyone! Never really been into bikes a whole lot, until recently, I'm more inclined to just watch TV or browse the web and play video games, duno what got me interested in bikes, but not going to question it, just haven't taken the plunge and bought one yet. I did recently see a (2001 year I think) DT125 R when I was browsing around online and loved the way it looks, so I've been looking around to see if they are even legal to import into the US, because I don't think they were ever sold here, at least I haven't seen one anywyay, not really into speed, so not worried about it's ccs, but it just had good lines, I'll leave it at that, haha. So if anyone knows anything about if they would meet US emissions, or if they are importable, anything of that nature, that would be awesome.
blackhat250 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Hi kirito " good wee bikes them, 2strokes, it was the states that outlawed 2 strokes in the 1970s, and jap manufactures swung to 4 strokes, its history now,, get roaded you"l love it,,
Kirito Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 Thanks for the welcome and the info. I started looking at a newer bike, an XT125R, looks almost identical and I like the way it looks as well, hopefully it is importable, since its a four stroke engine.
Sacha Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 welcome to the YOC! I'm not sure about importing the bike... or whether there's a U.S. equivalent... whatever you choose, I'll bet you'll be addicted.
Unk Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 "Might as well face it I'm addicted to........bikes!" Welcome 1
