Hi there I'm new to this site and to the yzf750, I have just got myself a yzf750 that I bought from an auction. I'm trying to find out how i go about cleaning and balancing the carbs, as it only seems to be running on three cylinders. So I'm gonna put new plugs in it and i wanna balance the carbs but I'm not sure how to do it! So any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Search home made carb ballencer here and on utube, basicaly a hose ,a yard stick and some 2t oil and you can make a mamometer to sync the carbs

As for cleaning dissasemble soak in carb cleaner, blow clean with compressed air ,set float height and pilot screw, take note of pilot screw turns to bottom befor disasembling.

If it's only running on 3 then a compression test is in order.

Have a look at the carbtune website. aslo plenty of videos on youtube. I might venture to suggest that carb stripping and overhaul is not a job for a beginner, but the good folks on here will offer much sound advice

Thanks for the replies guys as its much appreciated. I'll have a look at what you're suggesting and see if it's something that I am able to do myself, also how easy/hard is it to do the fork seals?
