Stupidly enough I haven't taken photos when taking apart my XVS 125.

I have rebuilt it, took enough months so no chance to remember.

How do I connect the HT leads? I noticed there are 2 types of shoes on the wire one bigger. Are they also colour coded for left and right lead?

Sorry chaps for my ignorance.

Edit: I meant front and back pots. Spark Timing is different right? There must be a colour code to ensure proper wiring.

left and right HT leads?...like a moto guzzi then

... Surely one is longer than the other?, and thus one goes to the cylinder most further away?

Don't be afraid to connect the leads and see if the bike will start . If not , switch the leads . If it starts it's right .

Thanks chaps, all sorted now, one lead is indeed shorter, duh.
