I have an R1 1998 model, my oil light keeps coming on and off when I am riding it, but there is plenty oil in it....has anyone else experienced this and do you know what the problem could be...?

Check your connections...especially @ the sending unit located somewhere on the sump.

Maybe then trace the wiring clear back up to the light on the dash.

Other than that...not really sure what it might be.

Cheers mate...I'll check that out!

its a know issue with this engine as the oil light is not a pressure switch but a level switch so when cornering and sometimes under heavey braking the switch sensor has no oil over it witch sets the light to go on
