BradZ
Hey guys, brand new to this site as ive just purchased my second Yamaha today. As the title states shes a '10 yz450f. My question is, occasionally when in gear the bike wants to creep foward even while the clutch is in. Ive tried adjusting it at the lever but haven't been able to fix it. Where else should I be looking for thr cause of this issue? Thanks.
dt502001
The cable can also be adjusted at the clutch cover.remove the tension at the bar set the cable up first so minimal slack is in the cable then use the bar adjustment

Moderator Airhead Posted September 27, 2014 Moderator Share Posted September 27, 2014 check your oil level to mate, cold oil and too much oil could cotribute to this?
BradZ
Oil level is fine. Seems okay now. It no longer wants to ride off with the clutch in. Its a little hard to find neutral whilst running so it's not 100% but it'll do for now.
KevtheRev
It's always easier to find neutral from 2nd gear than from 1st , I've found . Also make sure there is no play at the gearlever , as play here will always ensure sloppy gearchanges .
