I put a new counter shaft an idle gear in the bike.. Went back together fine.. The tranny shifted fine before being torn down and removed.. But the tranny only seems to shift 1st N 2nd now that it's back together..

Does the shift shaft need to be aligned in a certain spot or the star peace on the end of the shift drum need to be set in a right spot with..?

Please don't post the same thread in different sections mate. It gets proper confusing to try and help.

As to the problem? The star, pin wheel, etc has a specific location on the selector drum shaft. Normally set by flats on the shaft etc.

Can you select gears just by turning the star. Without the selector mech.

Never seen the guts of an rt so guessing a little.
