Hi,

By accident I threw away the oil line that attaches just above the oil filter cover and runs up to the back of the engine just below the head. I have a photo but haven't figured out how to attach yet. By my description, does anyone know what this part is called and where I can buy one?

Try Yamaha dealer , they still stock some old parts,, oil bypass line by the sounds of it, see F,A.Qs for picture posting,,
