Posted August 24, 201410 yr Hi All Have a 1984 Yamaha DT 125 which I am trying to repair. I have been testing coil via this procedure. DMM to ohm range. Primary side. Probe on negative and other probe on positive. Gets a ohm reading of 1.3 ohms. Gets a literal continuity sound. Secondary side. Probe on negative and other probe on end of plug wire. Gets a ohm reading of 3710 ohms or 3.71 kilo-ohms. Continuity no sound but 887 reading from DMM Do anybody perhaps know the correct resistance/ohm values Am I doing correct testing method. Please help Thank you Gasant
