hey all

just wondering why my yamaha ag175 has a small drilled hole in the cylinder wall that connects through with the exhaust port. all 3 of my ag cylinders have this

its baffling me

I can put up a photo if people dont know what I'm talking about I am wondering if its to drop the performance of the engine>?

cheers

It's to make getting the piston in starting position easier...dab on the kicker to get the piston to TDC the gas bleeds into the port to make this easier...then when it's at TDC its ready for a kickstart ' RD400 also have this feature, doesnt drop performance when it's running so's you'd notice
