Chris M Posted July 27, 2014 Share Posted July 27, 2014 Hi Took bike out everything fine. Came back washed it (Sponge, Brush, light spray from hose). The bike would not start. Buzzing (;ike a wasp in a jam jar) from left of bike, rev counter goes up to 4K and oil light comes on. Engine does not trun over. Going mad gread weather and cannot get out there. slice Posted July 27, 2014 Share Posted July 27, 2014 Sounds like you have to have the starter motor off, check the teeth on the end to see if you have any broken off, might also be a loose connection so check the wiring first from the battery to the end of the motor, just be careful NOT to tighten the connector on the end of the starter motor to tight as it is only a plastic retainer/spacer inside the motor and if you overdo it you will snap it in half and then it's a complete rebuild, not hard but annoying. dt502001 Posted July 27, 2014 Share Posted July 27, 2014 Remove left cover press starter button and find starter selonoid ( thing going buzz) remove the 2 heavy wires and clean them up and reinstall. Clean the small wire as well, clean both battery terminals. and squirt some wd 40 in the start button..Bike should start. If not take a jumper wire and jump the 2 wires at the selonoid if the bike turns over then the selonoid is done 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
