yamaha ag 175

Recommended Posts

I've been coming across this message thread so many times over the last couple of years (I got myself an ancient 73 or 74 ag175 from a shed deep in the inner NSW) and i have long been planning to restore it.

Unfortunately i've had a lack of time, experience and money as well as a semblance of a garage or workshop space but I think that is slowly changing and I'm hoping to restore it this year.

I might hit you up with questions once I'm done reading this massive 8 page thread.

Unfortunately I only have the one bike but at least (last I started it half a year ago) it was still starting and running.

I'm bloody excited. Though I'm sad most of your photos have gone and aren't hosted any more.

well i've been going crazy. I have 2 complete motors with bad mainshafts, and I plan to pick up a complete parts bike in a week or so which will give me 4 top ends, and hopefully one useable bottom e

so today made the frame loop for the seat and brazed it on, now I just have to paint and mount the rear guard!

Nice! That'll make the commute tons more fun!
