Stax Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Hi, I've been having a tinker with the SR125 today, as recently I noticed the exhaust was blowing from roughly where the silencer joins the exhaust pipes. I thought there was a hole around the weld or something like that. However, when looking into it a bit more, there is a small hole but it doesn't look like a rusted hole. Its probably about 2mm in diameter and doesn't look like its there as the result of rust, being perfectly circular. Rather than just plugging it with exhaust gum, I thought I'd ask first, see if there's a reason for it. Have only got the owners manual rather than a workshop manual, so it doesn't really cover it. So can anyone help?? Cheers...
Moderator YamaHead Posted February 25, 2006 Moderator Posted February 25, 2006 My guess would be a drain hole for moisture in the pipe.
Stax Posted February 25, 2006 Author Posted February 25, 2006 That makes sense, given its location at virtually the bottom of the silencer. Glad I didn't just fill it in with exhaust gum!
