Can you guys give me an idea what the break-in schedule is after rebore and new pistons and rings for the RD?

Would staying below 6000rpm for 500km be ok?

If you haven't touched the crank just use it. Ignore all that 500km bollocks.

Dont abuse it. Stay out of wot and don't let it chug in low gears. For a few miles.

Running in is more about putting heat cycles on the motor and making sure nothings leaking.

Otherwise ride it and enjoy.

In that case make the first couple of trips short ones. Enough to heat the motor fully then let her cool.

Check for leaks and such. Especially the exhausts and the 2stroke supply. Leaky exhausts kill 2strokes real easy. DONT add extra oil to the tank.

Then run it easy for a bit. Keeping the engine lightly loaded. After 20 or 30 kms continue as my earlier post.

Its not the pistons your running in. Its just the bearings your actually running in if they are halfway decent quality they will actually need little running in.
