I had a bit of an incident where my chain on my 95 FZR600R snapped and it turns out it's done some fairly terminal damage to my crankcase. Does anyone know what other bikes use the same engine cases. I'm fairly sure the thundercat does but are there any others? I'm thinking along the lines of either an older FZR or maybe a fazer 600 but want to be sure before I flash the cash. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer

might be easier/cheaper to replace the engine TBH

I'm open to that too but with a second hand engine of that age I'm still looking at pulling it apart and overhauling it before I can use it. At least with the one I've got I know the internal bits are good. Any ideas which other engines will bolt straight in? I'm not a good enough engineer to start faffing about making things fit that weren't meant to originally

but you can replace a crankcase?

Well fair point I don't know if I can do that yet. But taking parts out of one casing and putting them into another identical case in the correct order seems, on paper at least a little easier than buying an engine that was never meant to fit where I want to put it, Measuring and accurately lining up, cutting bits here, Welding bits there and having spacers and suchlike made up to make it fit.
