Hi,

My stepson has a TZR 125 which has a problem with the water in the expansion tank.

When riding the pressure builds up and blows the filler cap off and the engine seems to be getting hot, just over half after a 5 minute trip.

When the engine is ticking over the water in the expansion tank appears to be boiling, surely thats not right.

Has anyone got any ideas as to why this is happening.

Garry, the head gasket has failed, you should check the head for being warped as well
